Lady Tams, Lady Archers stay unbeaten with identical 5-0 records

Both FEU and DLSU, Finalists in last year's tournament, defeated their respective foes to remain unbeaten after five games. NU and UST prevailed as well.

Two-time defending champion Far Eastern University easily dismantled the University of the Philippines, 68-31 to notch their fifth straight victory in as many outings in the UAAP Season 76 Women’s basketball tournament held on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at the Arena in San Juan City.

Starting Center Camille Sambile paced the Lady Tamaraws with 22 points and 14 rebounds.

The win put FEU at the top of the team standings along with De La Salle University who also owns a 5-0 win-loss record. The loss dropped UP to 1-4.

DLSU crushed the University of the East, 63-35 in their matchup behind the 18 points and 11 rebounds of star forward Ara Abaca.

The unbeaten Lady Archers dealt the Lady Warriors yet another loss to put their record at 1 win and 4 defeats.

Meanwhile, National University defeated Adamson University 76-66 to improve to 4-1 as the Lady Falcons fell to 2-3.

Lastly, the University of Sto. Tomas bested Ateneo de Manila University 72-63. The Lady Tigers improved to 2-3 while the Lady Eagles remained winless at 0-5.

The UAAP Season 76 Women’s basketball tournament resumes on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the Arena in San Juan City with the following schedule:
