Blue Eaglets best UPIS, Baby Tamaraws pound Adamson

Ateneo and defending champion FEU-Diliman defeat UPIS and Adamson, respectively for identical 3-2 records in the UAAP 76 men's juniors basketball tournament.

After scoring a big win over previously unbeaten De La Salle-Zobel, Ateneo de Manila University continued its winning ways by defeating the University of the Philippines Integrated School, 85-75 on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at the Araneta Coliseum in Pasay City.

Center Mike Nieto dominated anew for the Blue Eaglets with a double-double performance with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Aaron Black also contributed 17 points and 8 rebounds.

Raymart Sablan and Diego Dario combined for 48 points for the Junior Maroons in a losing effort.

Ateneo improved to 3-2 while UPIS fell to 1-4.

In the first game, defending champion Far Eastern University-Diliman demolished Adamson University, 63-43 to win their third straight game of the season.

The Baby Tamaraws’ record now stands at 3-2 as the Baby Falcons remained winless at 0-5.

The UAAP Season 76 Juniors basketball tournament resumes on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the Araneta Coliseum as the University of the East (2-3) takes on FEU-Diliman (3-2) at 8:00 A.M. while National University (5-0) squares off against DLSZ (4-1) in the second game at 10:00 A.M..
