Blue Eaglets pound Adamson for third straight win, UST beats UPIS at the buzzer

The Ateneo Blue Eaglets won their third straight game in UAAP Season 76 while the UST Tiger Cubs arrested their three-game losing streak.

Ateneo de Manila University defeated Adamson University, 69-57 to push its winning streak to three games in the UAAP Season 76 Juniors basketball tournament on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City

Thirdy Ravena topscored for the Blue Eaglets with 21 points and 8 rebounds.Aaron Black contributed 10 points and 9 rebounds for the Loyola Heights based squad.
With the win, Ateneo improved its win-loss card to 4-2 while Adamson dropped yet another assignment for a 1-5 record.

In the first game, John Mayor converted on a buzzer beating shot to lift the University if Sto. Tomas to victory over the University of the Philippines, 66-64.

It was a badly needed win for the Tiger Cubs who were coming into the contest on a three-game losing skid. UST is now at 3-3 while the Junior Maroons were left winless at 0-6.

The first round of eliminations of the UAAP Season 76 Juniors basketball tournament will be conclude on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the Arena in San Juan City with the following schedule:

9:00 A.M. – AdU (1-5) vs. University of the East (2-4)

10:30 A.M. – De La Salle-Zobel (4-2) vs. UPIS (0-6)

12:00 P.M. – UST (3-3) vs. ADMU (4-2)

1:30 P.M. – Far Eastern University-Diliman (4-2) vs. National University (6-0)
