Ricky Dandan is still coach of the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons.
That is according to UP College of Human Kinetics Dean Prof. Ronualdo Dizer, who revealed in a phone call to UAAPSports.TV that he hasn't received any resignation letter from the embattled coach.
"As far as I'm concerned, Ricky Dandan is still our coach," he said on Sunday night.
Multiple sources informed UAAPSports.TV that Dandan is on his way out of UP's lair, but Dizer, who, along with UP Diliman Chancellor Dr. Caesar Saloma, possesses the power to appoint and fire coaches, stressed that there was no decision to fire Dandan.
Dizer and Saloma are also UP's representatives to the UAAP Board.
In almost three seasons handling the Maroons, the fiery coach has compiled a 3-33 record, winning thrice in his first two years at the helm and is winless so far in Season 76.
Winless UP will next face University of the East on Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
