Recap: NU earns first ever Women’s Tennis crown

De La Salle University tallied its eight win of the tournament after demolishing University of Sto. Tomas 72-45 in their second round matchup in the UAAP Season 76 Women’s basketball tournament on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
Cat quick guard Trisha Piatos topscored for the Lady Archers with 14 points while talented forward Ara Abaca chipped in with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Starting point guard Miller Ong also had an all-around performance with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists.
DLSU improved to 8-3 while UST fell to 6-5.
In the first game, Adamson University stopped the University of the Philippines 52-46.
The Lady Falcons attained their fourth victory in ten outings for a 4-6 record. The Lady Maroons dropped to 5-7.
