Recap: NU earns first ever Women’s Tennis crown

Defending champion Far Eastern University beat Ateneo de Manila University 52-42 in the UAAP Season 76 Women’s basketball tournament on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. The Lady Tamaraws secured a twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four with their twelfth win of the tournament. FEU has only lost once this season, a 61-58 loss against the University of Sto. Tomas last August 18.
Camille Sambile nearly finished with a triple-double as she tallied 19 points, 12 rebounds and 9 steals.
In the second game, National University blew out UST 79-60 as four Lady Bulldogs unleashed double-digit performances.
NU is at second place with11 wins and 2 defeats while the Tigresses remained at fourth place with a 7-6 record.
De La Salle University is currently at third place at 8-3 with still three games remaining in their elimination round schedule.
