UAAP football kicks off with opening-day live airing

UAAP football is expected to get more media mileage in Season 76, starting with the live airing of its opening-day main game on Nov.23 at the Far Eastern University (FEU)-Diliman pitch.

ABS-CBN Sports, the UAAP’s exclusive media partner, airs the debut match of Season 75 third placer FEU and resurging National University (NU) at 3 p.m. on Studio 23 to wrap up the opening-day triple-header.

Kicking off the pair of non-televised games are De La Salle University and University of Santo Tomas (UST) which battle at 10 a.m. Last season’s runner up University of the Philippines (UP) and University of the East follow suit in their 1 p.m. match

Defending champion Ateneo de Manila University, which swept UP in the Finals last season, drew an opening-day bye and will see action on Nov. 26 against FEU.

After opening day, one match will air live every Friday at 3 p.m. on Studio 23.

The women’s hostilities fires off on Nov.24 with Season 75 bridesmaid La Salle facing UP in the 3 p.m. main game. Ateneo and UST square off at 1 p.m.
