Proving their worth in the last game, Far Eastern University faces yet another huge test.
The Tamaraws go up against second-running University of Santo Tomas in the 76th UAAP men's basketball tournament at 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
FEU buried National University in their last outing, but had to survive a late flurry to emerge on top, 87-83, and book their fifth straight win.
And while coach Nash Racela was happy with the way his wards started the game off, he did not like how the Tamaraws squandered the humongous advantage.
"It's very simple," he said. "It's how you finish. We have to learn from this game."
Racela got a lift from unusual suspects last time, with Carl Cruz and Gryann Mendoza combining for 23 points to support Terrence Romeo's game-high 24 points.
"Habang tumatagal ang season, we get scouted, we get defended," Racela shared. "We'll look for other people to deliver."
Even with a perfect record, FEU will definitely not take the Growling Tigers sans Jeric Teng for granted.
"Malakas ang UST even without Jeric Teng," Racela insisted. "That's the dangerous thing about losing a player. You learn to play without him and let others step up."
The game will air live on Studio 23, BALLS HD 167 and uaapsports.tv with a same day replay at 8 p.m. on BALLS SkyCable channel 34/ Destiny Cable channel 36.
