DLSZ suffered it's first loss of the season after losing to Ateneo while UST absorbed it's third straight defeat after losing the UE.

Ateneo de Manila University ended De La Salle-Zobel's unbeaten streak as the Blue Eaglets won over the Junior Archers, 73-68, in the UAAP Season 76 Juniors basketball tournament on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Thirdy Ravena led the way for Ateneo with 25 points and 10 rebounds while center Michael Nieto also contributed a double-double with 19 points and 25 rebounds.

The Blue Eaglets led by as many as 14 points, 52-38, with 6:16 remaining in the third period before the Junior Archers went on a 12-4 run to cut the deficit to six points. But, Ateneo pulled away once again in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.

Renzo Subido led DLSZ in scoring with 25 points in a losing effort.

It was DLSZ’s first loss of the season as their record now stands at 4-1. Ateneo improved to 2-2.

In the first game, the University of the East managed to score a win over the University of Sto. Tomas, winning, 62-55, despite the absence of their Head Coach Billy Reyes, who served a one-game suspension for vehemently arguing a call in the Junior Warriors’ previous game.
