The Adamson Lady Falcons extended their UAAP winning streak to 41 games after crushing NU.

And the streak continues.

Three-time defending champion Adamson University once again displayed its mastery over National University by defeating them, 4-1 to sweep their elimination round series as the second round of the UAAP Season 76 Softball tournament began on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.

The Lady Falcons, who tallied their 41st win in a row in the league, last tasted defeat in the Finals of UAAP Season 72, where they lost to the University of Sto. Tomas. Ana Santiago is coaching Adamson for the tenth straight year and is looking to lead her squad to a fourth straight crown.

With the win, the Lady Falcons continue to sit comfortably at the top of the standings with a 7-0 record while the Lady Bulldogs, who lost to Adamson in the Finals last year, suffered their third defeat in seven outings for a 4-3 record.

The other two matchups saw the University of the East (3-4) trounce Ateneo de Manila University (1-6), 7-5 as the University of the Philippines (3-4) stunned De La Salle University (1-6), 5-4.
